The History Field in this metadata statement describes how this dataset was derived.\n\n\n\nThis dataset includes two sets of data:\n\n- Potentiometric surfaces converted to rasters\n\n- The rasters clipped to the Gippsland Bioregion boundary.\n\n\n\nAll units are in mAHD.\n\n## **Purpose** \n\nThe purpose of these diagrams are to give the reader an indicative view of the key potentiometric surfaces at the regional scale for the Bioregional Assessment for the years 1980 and 2012. The data originates from preliminary findings of the Conceptualisation and Calibration of the Gippsland Basin Groundwater Model Stage of the Victorian 1771 Water Science Studies.\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nThe raster versions of the potentiometric surfaces were created using the 'Copy Raster' tool within ESRI ArcCatalogue 10.2. \n\nThese rasters were then clipped to the Gippsland Bioregional Boundary using the 'Extract by Mask (Spatial Analyst)' tool within ArcMap 10.2.\n\n\n\nBoisdale refers to the Boisdale aquifer.\n\nRegional refers to the water table across the bioregion.\n\nUpper Latrobe refers to the Latrobe Group aquifer.\n\n## **Dataset Citation** \n\nBioregional Assessment Programme (2015) Gippsland Basin potentiometric surfaces - Regional water table, Boisdale Aquifer and Latrobe Group Aquifer..
