A biological survey of existing vegetation and fauna was done before vegetation clearance for the Fairview Drain. After the Drain was constructed NVC conditional consent required revegetation of the spoilbanks. Photopoints were set up to monitor and compare 2 types of revegetation on the spoilbanks: Topsoiling or Topsoil and Mulching.
