The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement. \n\n\n\nThis contains the footprint outlines of all the mines used in the groundwater model. There are 4 kmz files identifying both open cut and below ground mines footprints for the base case and coal resource development pathway scenarios.\n\n## **Purpose** \n\nMine footprints used to define the extent of the mines under different scenarios for input to the groundwater model.\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nThe Hunter groundwater footprint polygon dataset was made into four maps separated into underground and open cut mines, and baseline and CRDP scenarios. These maps were exported as kmz files using Geosoft Oasis Montaj software.\n\n## **Dataset Citation** \n\nBioregional Assessment Programme (2016) HUN Groundwater footprint kmz files v01. There are two separate programs of bioregional assessments.\r\n\r\nThe Bioregional Assessment Program (2012 - 2017) seeks to better understand the potential impacts of coal seam gas and large coal mining developments on water resources and water-related assets. It is one of a number of actions undertaken by the Australian Government to strengthen the science underpinning decision making on coal seam gas and large coal mining developments.\r\n\r\nThe Geological and Bioregional Assessment Program (2017 - 2021) assessed the potential impacts of shale and tight gas development on water and the environment.
