Feature-coded and non-feature-coded digital hydrographic mapping data is digitally processed to derive a single line stream network. AS 2482-1989 standard feature-code data descriptions (Standards Australia, 2004) are assessed and features are extracted if deemed to be part of the stream network. Features are then assessed for spatial and topological consistency using orthorectified remote imagery (aerial photography, satellite imagery) and other topographic data. Manual adjustments and/or corrections are made in a Geographic Information System where required. AS 2482-1989 standard feature-codes are maintained (Standards Australia, 2004). Non-feature-coded data are assessed for spatial and topological consistency using orthorectified remote imagery (aerial photography, satellite imagery) and other topographic data. Features are extracted if deemed to be part of the stream network and a non-standard feature-code is applied (refer to Value Descriptions below). Anomalies were corrected by digital editing and creation of topological relationships \n\nPositional accuracy (external, absolute):\n\n The positional accuracy of wetland data mapped at a scale of 1:100 000 is /-75 metres. The minimum polygon size depicted is 5 ha or 75 metres wide for linear features, except for areas along the east coast which are mapped at the 1:50 000 scale with a positional accuracy of /-50 metres, with a minimum polygon size of 1 ha or 35 metres wide for linear features. Wetlands smaller than 1 ha are not delineated on the wetland data.
