Samples, mainly from cores, represent Group 2 Shales (comprising Kennedy Siltstone and Spear Siltstone), Urquhart Shale, Native Bee Siltstone, greenstones, and local basic igneous rocks. These have been used to study element distributions in mineralized and unmineralized localities. It was found that primary element dispersions are associated with the 1100 Cu orebody, but not with the Ag-Pb-Zn bodies. This, together with the different modes of occurrence of the orebodies, suggests that the mineralization at Mount Isa took place in two separate events. The Ag-Pb-Zn deposits are considered to be syngenetic whereas the Cu deposits appear to be, in part at least, epigenetic. The chemical evidence suggests strongly that much of the Cu in the silica dolomite bodies was derived from the underlying greenstones. In addition, an attempt has been made to differentiate the Urquhart Shale from the other units on the basis of chemical composition. Of the elements analysed, Ca appears to be the most diagnostic and it may be possible to define the upper limit of the Urquhart Shale using this element.", "num_resources": 2, "num_tags": 6, "organization": {"id": "91f054ec-d0c3-4d42-a89a-5daa2c7a6818", "name": "geoscience-australia-data", "title": "Geoscience Australia Data", "type": "organization", "description": "Harvester for Geoscience Australia Data", "image_url": "", "created": "2025-06-23T12:29:08.024111", "is_organization": true, "approval_status": "approved", "state": "active"}, "original_harvest_source": {"site_url": "https://ecat.ga.gov.au", "href": "https://ecat.ga.gov.au/geonetwork/srv/eng/csw/dataset/primary-element-dispersions-associated-with-mineralization-at-mount-isa-queensland", "title": "Geoscience Australia"}, "owner_org": "91f054ec-d0c3-4d42-a89a-5daa2c7a6818", "private": false, "promotion_level": "0", "spatial": "{\"type\": \"Polygon\", \"coordinates\": [[[139.0, -21.0], [139.5, -21.0], [139.5, -20.5], [139.0, -20.5], [139.0, -21.0]]]}", "spatial_coverage": "{\"type\": \"Polygon\", \"coordinates\": [[[139.0, -21.0], [139.5, -21.0], [139.5, -20.5], [139.0, -20.5], [139.0, -21.0]]]}", "state": "active", "temporal_coverage_from": "2018-04-20 06:24:34", "title": "Primary element dispersions associated with mineralization at Mount Isa, Queensland", "type": "dataset", "unpublished": false, "url": null, "version": null, "extras": [{"key": "harvest_object_id", "value": "bc52c76f-eb45-49bf-89f7-31a7a65f83ba"}, {"key": "harvest_source_id", "value": "00080910-39e7-408f-882c-e6e1eb6baadb"}, {"key": "harvest_source_title", "value": "Geoscience Australia"}], "resources": [{"cache_last_updated": null, "cache_url": null, "created": "2025-10-16T06:14:02.212039", "datastore_active": false, "datastore_contains_all_records_of_source_file": false, "description": "Download the Bulletin (pdf)", "format": "PDF", "hash": "", "id": "703c6092-7dad-43b0-9af6-f0060dd513ab", "last_modified": null, "metadata_modified": "2025-10-16T06:14:02.199184", "mimetype": null, "mimetype_inner": null, "name": "Download the Bulletin (pdf)", "package_id": "eac590de-908b-4c4d-b447-8bd075aa14fd", "position": 0, "resource_locator_function": "information", "resource_locator_protocol": "WWW:LINK-1.0-http--link", "resource_type": null, "size": null, "state": "active", "url": "https://d28rz98at9flks.cloudfront.net/120/Bull_131.pdf", "url_type": null, "zip_extract": false}, {"cache_last_updated": null, "cache_url": null, "created": "2025-10-16T06:14:02.212043", "datastore_active": false, "datastore_contains_all_records_of_source_file": false, "description": "", "format": "HTML", "hash": "", "id": "bd5a6d3b-2e46-4997-8515-c87fae91860a", "last_modified": null, "metadata_modified": "2025-10-16T06:14:02.199342", "mimetype": null, "mimetype_inner": null, "name": "Unnamed resource", "package_id": "eac590de-908b-4c4d-b447-8bd075aa14fd", "position": 1, "resource_locator_function": "", "resource_locator_protocol": "", "resource_type": null, "size": null, "state": "active", "url": "http://www.abs.gov.au/ausstats/abs@.nsf/Latestproducts/1297.0Main%20Features32008?opendocument&tabname=Summary&prodno=1297.0&issue=2008&num=&view=", "url_type": null, "zip_extract": false}], "tags": [{"display_name": "AU-QLD", "id": "0275cb63-7fa7-43d7-ac32-7c454ab33257", "name": "AU-QLD", "state": "active", "vocabulary_id": null}, {"display_name": "Bulletin", "id": "160fbfad-8e89-494d-9190-4705dac2c5e7", "name": "Bulletin", "state": "active", "vocabulary_id": null}, {"display_name": "Earth Sciences", "id": "40d58e59-cdeb-4021-9e5a-aae60edebdf5", "name": "Earth Sciences", "state": "active", "vocabulary_id": null}, {"display_name": "GA Publication", "id": "e62fc1f2-3d55-4d1e-bd88-116cd26bc3fd", "name": "GA Publication", "state": "active", "vocabulary_id": null}, {"display_name": "Published_External", "id": "5178775c-8044-4b7f-881f-5428a4e2d925", "name": "Published_External", "state": "active", "vocabulary_id": null}, {"display_name": "geology", "id": "a1247809-d04d-48ef-9eab-541baf255c2c", "name": "geology", "state": "active", "vocabulary_id": null}], "groups": [], "relationships_as_subject": [], "relationships_as_object": []}}
