                <gco:CharacterString>## **Abstract** 

The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement. 


This dataset contains two different csv files:


1) location details of coal seam gas wells in NSW

2) associated stratigraphic information (contacts between different geological formations)

## **Purpose** 

This dataset formed a major basis for the development of three-dimensional geological models.

## **Dataset History** 

The data are sourced from well completion reports downloaded from the NSW Department of Trade and Investment DIGS system; it also contains information from re-interpreted geological contacts provided by Metgasco Limited.
