Mount Barker station (particle data)

Mt Barker air quality monitoring station particle data

Created 26/06/2025

Updated 26/06/2025

This dataset contains validated particle pollution data for the year 2022 to campaign finish for the Mount Barker region in monthly files. Data was collected as 1-hour averages. Information provided is PM10 and PM2.5 values expressed in micrograms per cubic metre (µg/m3), ambient temperature expressed in degrees Celsius (Deg C) & ambient barometric pressure expressed in atmospheres (atm). Time is expressed as Time Ending Averages and in Australian Central Standard Time (ACST).

Negative values occur from time to time and are a result of interferents such as moisture and semi volatile compounds in combination with the noise of the instrument.

Sampling method (PM10): Tapered Element Oscillating Microbalance (TEOM).

Sampling method (PM2.5): Beta Attenuation Monitor (BAM).

Sampling Standard (PM10): AS 3580.9.8. Uncertainty in measurement: U95= ± 2 µg/m3 for 1hr average.

Sampling Standard (PM2.5): AS/NZS 3580.9.12. Uncertainty in measurement is U95 ± 2 µg/m3 for 1 hour average.

Field labels: PM10 TEOM µg/m3 – Particulate Matter 10 microns or less, PM2.5 BAM µg/m3 – Particulate Matter 2.5 microns or less, Temperature Deg C – Ambient Temperature, Barometric Pressure atm – Ambient Pressure.
