This dataset represents the Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday Regional Plan Regional Landuse Categories, composed of three land use categories: 1) Regional Landscape and Rural Production Area 2) Urban Footprint 3) Rural Living Area The dataset is produced from the Digital Cadastral Database (DCDB) November 2011, sourced from Department of Resources. This includes property parcels, road, railway and watercourse boundaries. Developed from submissions including current planning scheme intents, forward planning designations, and advice from local government and state government agencies. Definitions: Regional Landscape and Rural Production Area : Identifies areas with values that should be protected from urban and rural residential development. Urban Footprint : Identifies areas to accommodate urban growth to 2031 Rural Living Area : Identifies areas predominantly for continuing rural residential development. The above descriptions are general only. For further information refer to the Mackay, Isaac and Whitsunday Regional Plan, Part D – Implementing and monitoring, for more detailed definitions.NOTE: The State Planning Regulatory Provisions (SPRP) for the Mackay Isaac Whitsunday regional plan ceased to have effect from 11 July 2012
