Metadata was not provided and has been compiled by the Bioregional Assessment Programme based on the known details at the time of acquisition.\n\n\n\nNSW delivered dataset Nov 2013 however, the Hydstra data for NSW Office of Water (NoW) was extracted on 10 April 2013 The Hydstra groundwater database was provided by NoW and from the HYDMEAS database file (dbf). The dbf file can be imported into MSAccess\n\n\n\nThe Hydstra database stores groundwater level information from \\~ 11,800 bores. This includes the NSW monitoring network of bores and private bores (eg. Stock bores with a water level reading). \n\n\n\nSite information is included; however in the NoW NGIS should be used as the primary source for groundwater site information as the NGIS has been quality checked and should be used for all site data. \\\\wron\\Project\\BA\\BA_all\\Hydrogeology\\_National_Groundwater_Information_System_v1.1_Sept2013\n\n\n\nMany water level readings have been taken at the time of drilling and many are once off readings. These data have not been validated. \n\n\n\nAny information obtained from the Hydstra data should be assessed for its quality prior to inclusion in a Bioregional Assessment.\n\n\n\nNo data dictionary is available for Hydstra. GW levels are variable 110. 110 is the measurement of groundwater level from the measurement point.\n\nDetails on the measurement point can be found on the NSW NGIS\n\n## **Dataset History** \n\nHYDMEAS- Hydstra measurements\n\n\n\nThe Hydstra data for NSW Office of Water (NoW) was extracted on 10 April 2013 from the NSW corporate groundwater database. The HYDMEAS groundwater extract was provided by NoW as the HYDMEAS database file (dbf) and can be imported into MSAcesss.\n\n## **Dataset Citation** \n\nNSW Office of Water (2013) Hydstra Groundwater Measurement Update - NSW Office of Water, Nov2013. There are two separate programs of bioregional assessments.\r\n\r\nThe Bioregional Assessment Program (2012 - 2017) seeks to better understand the potential impacts of coal seam gas and large coal mining developments on water resources and water-related assets. It is one of a number of actions undertaken by the Australian Government to strengthen the science underpinning decision making on coal seam gas and large coal mining developments.\r\n\r\nThe Geological and Bioregional Assessment Program (2017 - 2021) assessed the potential impacts of shale and tight gas development on water and the environment.
