This dataset and its metadata statement were supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and are presented here as originally supplied.


List of species (for LGA's within the Galilee subregion) downloaded from the Queensland Department of Science, Information Technology, Innovation and the Arts (DSITIA), Wildlife online application.

## **Dataset History** 

Wildlife Online accesses data from the WildNet database. This database contains records of wildlife sightings and listings of plants (including fungi and protists), mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles, freshwater fish, sharks and rays, butterflies and other priority invertebrates in Queensland.


The wildlife lists are based on collated species lists and wildlife records (within 2000 metres or less) from Queensland Government departments and external organisations. The data sources include:


specimen collections

research and monitoring programs

inventory programs including extension activities

literature records

wildlife permit returns

community wildlife recording programs.


Species lists for LGA's within the Galilee subregion:

Barcaldine, Barcoo, Blackall - Tambo, Central Highlands, Diamantina, Fliders, Isaac, Longreach, Maranoa, Mckinlay, Murweh, Paroo, Quilpie, Richmond and Winton
