Extraction of data determined to be older than Carboniferous based on the Maxage field from detailed mapping of geological unit outcrops. ## **Purpose** To indicate where rock deemed to be “Basement” for the purposes of hydrogeological investigations being discussed within the contextual statement outcrop. In this case, “Basement” is inclusive of all rocks interpreted to be older than the Arckaringa Basin (ie older than Carboniferous). ## **Dataset History** Original data was published by PIRSA (now DMITRE) from their geological map series, aerial photography mapping, PIRSA (DMITRE) report books and investigation, manual digitising and scanning.
