                <gco:CharacterString>## **Abstract** 

The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.


The dataset is a shapefile representing the internal boundary lines that divide up the Sydney bioregion into 5 coal fields. A polyline feature created from the NSW coalfield boundaries polygon.

## **Purpose** 

Show extents of coal fields in NSW.

## **Dataset History** 

The boundaries are the internal polylines of the original dataset "NSW Coalfield boundaries" which was derived from structural basin outlines and modified according to the requirements of the standing committee on coalfield geology of NSW.
