Based on TASVEG data and supplemented with field work and other data sources, it represents forest dominated by Blue gum (E. globulus) and Black gum (E. ovata) and other forest types with subdominant proportions of Blue gum (E. globulus). The subdominant proportions are quantified in the attributes table as are the predominant ages of the E. globulus components. It provides significant improvements to TASVEG 2.0 data in terms of increasing the representation of subdominant E. globulus and correcting areas of wet E. globulus forest previously subsumed into other forest types. The field work carried out in 2009/10 focussed on priority areas within the natural distribution of E. globulus on mainland Tasmania plus a buffer of 10km. Areas not covered by the fieldwork are represented in the companion dataset: Globmap_unmapped.
