Purpose
The data file is used to indicate the location and understood extent of the Arckaringa Basin including basement highs (or inliers) that puncture the Arckaringa Basin sediments at time of issue.
Dataset History
The extent of the Arckaringa Basin has been interpreted from outcrop geology mapping as provided by the South Australian Government Department of State Development (DSD) from there online SARIG database, seismic data that was either collected by or provided to the DSD for record-keeping and regulatory requirements, as well as vetted downhole geological logging data as stored in the South Australian Government managed geoscientific database SA_Geodata.
