Abstract
The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme from multiple source datasets. The source datasets are identified in the Lineage field in this metadata statement. The processes undertaken to produce this derived dataset are described in the History field in this metadata statement.
This is a compilation of mine footprints for the Hunter subregion from all sources as well as modified footprints for use in surface water modelling. All sourced footprints are contained in single shapefile comprising of many shapes representing the mine extent through time including future planned extensions defined in the CRDP. Overlapping polygons represent footprint areas across several timesteps. There are also version of the shapefile intersected with the BILO climate grid.

Dataset History
Polygons from all sources were assembled into this dataset using the MERGE and APPEND commands within ArcGIS10.1. The combined shapefile was intersected with the BILO climate cells using the INTERSECT command within ArcGIS10.1 and subsequently redundant boundaries were removed using the DISSOLVE command within ArcGIS10.1.
