Abstract

The dataset was derived by the Bioregional Assessment Programme. This dataset was derived from the Asset database for the Pedirka subregion dataset. You can find a link to the parent dataset in the Lineage Field in this metadata statement. The History Field in this metadata statement describes how this dataset was derived.

Spatial layer which can be applied for cartography in order to mask out areas outside of the Simpson Desert Conservation Park.

Purpose

Dataset created specifically for use in maps for the Pedirka subregion, as part of the Bioregional Assessments project.

  1. Created an arbitrary polygon shapefile extending beyond the boundaries of the Simpson Desert Conservation Park

  2. Selected where 'AssetName' = 'Simpson Desert Conservation Park' from PED_asset_database_20150319.mdb (e7fe53b6-e044-48bc-9969-454afb4f9586)

  3. Erased polygon from step 1 with polygons defined by step 2
