Created 23/06/2025

Updated 23/06/2025

This dataset represents Slocum glider data collected by Glider085 and Glider090 for the Defence Science and Technology Organisation (DSTO). Slocum glider data from the oceans around Australia have been collected by DSTO on an ongoing basis. Previous deployments include: Coral Sea deployment during Exercise Talisman Sabre in July 2011, Coral Sea deployment, adjacent to Shoalwater Bay, during Exercise Talisman Saber in July - August 2013, and a Perth Canyon deployment, during a combined ocean glider deployment in conjunction with the IMOS ocean glider facility, in February - March 2014. The data are obtained from an onboard suite of instruments which currently is a Seabird-SBE41 CTD (Conductivity, Temperature, Depth) only. The variables in this dataset are water temperature, conductivity and salinity.
