Abstract
The dataset was compiled by the Geological and Bioregional Assessment Program from source data referenced within the dataset and/or metadata. Summary of the range of potential spatial footprints of unconventional gas resource development based on a development scenario with 1,180 wells with 4 to 8 wells per well pad. The range of potential spatial footprint areas is expressed in km2 and in percentage of the Cooper GBA region, area with relative prospectivity greater than 0 and area with relative prospectivity greater than 0.75, respectively. Spatial extent includes the entire unconventional gas resource development extent, which is a combination of development area (i.e. roads, well pads and seismic lines) that includes areas between well pads and seismic lines.

History
This dataset is derived from an assessment of the maximum prospectivity of the three unconventional gas plays in the Cooper GBA region; shale gas, tight gas and deep coal.
