Long-term project Data Products for Project AS323 (The Magellanic Clouds and Baades Window as Keyholes to Exotic Transients): images and visibilities

Fast radio bursts (FRBs) and long-period transients (LPTs) are currently two areas in astronomy, with groundbreaking discoveries in both fields being spearheaded by Australian telescopes. FRBs and LPTs exhibit intriguing similarities in their spectral, temporal, and polarimetric properties, hinting at a potential connection through shared progenitors or extreme emission physics. Our proposal will investigate this connection and underpin a fresh perspective on LPTs/FRBs. Understanding LPTs could provide the key to unravelling the origins of FRBs and their association with the evolution of magnetized compact objects. This project will generate a valuable legacy dataset of observations, facilitating the discovery of exotic transients while providing an opportunity to rigorously test and validate CRACO's rigorously test and validate CRACO's capabilities. The outcomes will ensure CRACO's seamless integration into the National Facility's observing infrastructure.
