Use of the Pacific oyster (Magallana gigas) as a natural sampler for the detection of Neoparamoeba perurans

Created 20/09/2025

Updated 20/09/2025

qPCR quantifications and calculations for experimental oysters for assessing their ability to accumulate DNA of Neoparamoeba perurans within four organs of interest (Mantle, Gill, Palp, Digestive gland). This data contains beta actin (SYBR) values that serving as an DNA input standard as well as Neoparamoeba perurans (TaqMan) 18S DNA quantities. Calculations for the Beta actin/N. perurans DNA ratio, total amoeba within a tissue and copies/reaction are included in the metadata.
