Web3D visualizations of corrosion pits development for EB-PBF additively manufactured 316L SS

Created 20/09/2025

Updated 20/09/2025

This collection includes online interactive Web3D visualizations of the original pores and corrosion pits in a lathe-machined (Sample 1) and as-built (Sample 2) 316L SS samples fabricated via electron beam powder bed fusion (EB-PBF) additive manufacturing. The corrosion pits were induced by immersing the sample in a 6 wt% ferric chloride solution. The sample was taken out of the solution after every 8 hours for X-ray CT and DCM analysis.
