'Ships of Opportunity' (SOOP) is a facility of the Australian 'Integrated Marine Observing System' (IMOS) project. This data set was collected by the SOOP sub-facility 'Sensors on Tropical Research Vessels' aboard the RV Cape Ferguson Trip 5829.

Instrumentation was deployed for measuring Salinity at 1.9m on trip 5829 from 02 Aug 2013 through to 04 Aug 2013, and the installation was located at/on RV Cape Ferguson. Sensor deployed was a SBE 21 conductivity cell manufactured by Sea-Bird Electronics, Inc., model SBE 21.

Instrumentation was deployed for measuring Seawater Intake Temperature at 1.9m on trip 5829 from 02 Aug 2013 through to 04 Aug 2013, and the installation was located at/on RV Cape Ferguson. Sensor deployed was a SBE 38 remote temperature sensor manufactured by Sea-Bird Electronics, Inc., model SBE 38.

Instrumentation was deployed for measuring Turbidity at 1.9m on trip 5829 from 02 Aug 2013 through to 04 Aug 2013, and the installation was located at/on RV Cape Ferguson. Sensor deployed was a Wet Labs FLNTU-RT Optical sensor (Turbidity and Fluorescence) manufactured by Wetlabs, model FLNTU-RT.

Instrumentation was deployed for measuring Fluorescence at 1.9m on trip 5829 from 02 Aug 2013 through to 04 Aug 2013, and the installation was located at/on RV Cape Ferguson. Sensor deployed was a Wet Labs FLNTU-RT Optical sensor (Turbidity and Fluorescence) manufactured by Wetlabs, model FLNTU-RT.
