Geoscience Australia (GA) recorded a regional seismic survey across the eastern Yilgarn Craton in 1991 in order to map the major structures in the region at depth. The three lines of the L132 seismic survey, BMR91-EGF1 to EFF3, total a length of 258 km. The main traverse, BMR91-EGF1, was 213 km long and oriented approximately east-west. The greenstone belts of the Archaean Yilgarn Craton in Western Australia, and particularly those near Kalgoorlie, are host to world class gold and nickel deposits. Therefore, knowledge of the geological structure at depth plays an important role in developing exploration models for this region. The Geological Survey of Western Australia commissioned reprocessing of this legacy dataset to improve data quality, imaging reflective structural features in the region. The reprocessing project is a collaboration between Geoscience Australia and the Government of Western Australia, Department of Mines, Industry Regulation and Safety. Reprocessing was funded through the Exploration Incentive Scheme, a Western Australian state government initiative to encourage mineral and energy resource exploration in Western Australia. Velseis Pty Ltd carried out reprocessing from October 2020 through March 2021. GA managed the reprocessing project, undertook quality control of the data processing and archived the processed data. This dataset includes metadata, images and SEGY files for stacks, pre-stack migration and post-stack migration data. The dataset is available for download.
