This dataset is a Land Resource Area map of the Western Darling Downs region in Southern Queensland. The mapping covers parts of the Chinchilla, Dalby, Mundubbera, Roma and Surat 1: 250,000 scale map sheets and was completed in 1996. The mapping is at a scale of 1: 250,000 and 29 Land Resource Areas were identified with 32 associated Soil Profile Classes. The Land Management Manual that accompanies this data is a collation of currently available land resource data, combined with local knowledge and experience, primarily concerning soils and their management.
