Lord Howe Rise Current Meter (Mooring) Data 1989-90

Created 25/06/2025

Updated 25/06/2025

This dataset comprises the current meter data collected from dynamic height moorings at 2 locations (28 and 38 deg S) on the the Lord Howe Rise in the Tasman Sea during August 1989-March 1990, as part of a study of ocean transport in the Tasman Sea. There are 2 moorings with 11 current meters represented in this dataset. Parameters typically recorded in current meter data comprise east-west and north-south velocity components, water temperature, pressure, and salinity at a nominal depth for each current meter. The data have been processed and are archived as part of the holdings of the CMR Data Centre in Hobart.
