Marine Farming Licences

Marine Farming Licences are issued under the Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995. These licences authorise the farming of nominated species and provide certain conditions and restrictions that the licence holder must comply with whilst undertaking their authorised aquaculture activities. All marine farming operations must be licensed pursuant to the Living Marine Resources Management Act 1995, and Marine farming licences are typically issued for a period of 12 months and relate to a specific marine farming lease.
