Updated 17/10/2025

Causal networks are used to integrate publicly available baseline data and information on resources, geology, groundwater, surface water and ecology for the north Bowen Basin region to provide a common information base for environmental, resource development and regulatory decisions in the region. This data guide summarises knowledge of the resource development activities, hazards or stressors, ecosystem and landscape processes, protected areas and threatened species, and connects them via cause-and-effect causal pathways in a causal network.
