The counts of train, metro, and light rail station entries and exits are derived from samples representing 'typical days' and monthly data. ‘Typical day’ data is only available from 2016 to 2023.

All data is based on OPAL Transaction data.

  • The August update includes information on the new Metro Stations (stage 2 ) and utilises a new data source.

Note:

  • Sydney Metro North West stage 1 commenced operations May 2019.
  • Sydney Metro North West & Bankstown Line, Chatswood to Sydenham (stage 2) commenced operations 19 August 2024.
