The assessment area in this report includes all Crown Forest estate situated within the boundaries of the Upper North East, Lower North East, Southern and Eden Integrated Forestry Operations Approval (IFOA) regions. A total of 315 state forests were included. Additionally, Crown Forests situated within the Central Tablelands area comprising part of the Bathurst and Mudgee forest management areas are also included in the assessment area. These forests are not covered by an IFOA but are identified for assessment for the purposes of this report.
