This data set contains Statistical Area Level 4 (SA4) information on all NSW Government schools, including schools that have received a status of ‘Not operational’ since 2010. Data Notes:

List includes schools that are currently open or haven't been operational since 2010. Status "Other" may refer to school who have gone through a merger/demerger process. Not Operational includes schools that: on that year had the last teacher withdrawn. have entered in recess, but may still reopen in the future.

Year refers to the year the last teacher was withdrawn, not actual dates that the schools were gazetted as closed following Ministerial decisions. SA4 refers to the ABS Australian Statistical Geography Standard (ASGS) Edition 3 Statistical Area 4 (SA4) - 2021.
