PRCP applications

Holders of environmental authorities must submit rehabilitation plans for certain mining activities. These may be known under various names, but the department is transitioning holders towards progressive rehabilitation and closure plans (PRC plans) and associated schedules to manage their land rehabilitation. This portal includes records related to applications for PRC plans, as required under section 540(1)(xiii) and 540(1)(aa) of the Environmental Protection Act 1994 (EP Act). This includes:

reports about public interest evaluations, other than any confidential information within the meaning of section 316PE of the EP Act​ application documents for a proposed PRC Plan or an amendment of a PRCP schedule, including information requests and responses to information requests.
