Created 23/06/2025

Updated 23/06/2025

South Coast Crustacean Managed Fishery Management Plan Amendment 2015 Australian sea lions (ASL) are protected by the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999. Sea Lion Exclusion Devices (SLEDs) are required to be used in the waters within the SLED Zones. The Zones have been established to reduce the risk of ASLs interacting with fishing equipment when foraging around their breeding colonies and to maintain a viable commercial fishery. SLED Zones are prescribed in Schedule 4 of the South Coast Crustacean Managed Fishery Management Plan Amendment 2015
