Sulu Sea Chlorophyll estimate from MERIS Imagery.

Created 23/06/2025

Updated 23/06/2025

The Medium Resolution Imaging Spectrometer (MERIS) measures the solar radiation reflected by the Earth surface with a ground resolution of 300 metres. With 15 spectral bands in visible and near infrared, MERIS covers the entire Earth surface every 3 days. Sea color chlorophyll pigment concentration (algal1, algal2), yellow substance and total suspended matter concentrations, and water vapor content, were all measured/estimated using MERIS.
