Travel Speed for Main Road Corridors of Greater Hobart

Created 25/06/2025

Updated 25/06/2025

Greater Hobart Travel Speed dataset describes various factors including congestion during AM Inbound and PM outbound peaks for five main road corridors with a origin/destination of Hobart City Centre. The corridors include the Brooker Highway from Brighton, Tasman Highway from Sorell, East Derwent Highway from Bridgewater, South Arm Highway from Lauderdale and Southern Outlet from Margate. A prescribed standardised driving methodology was utilised by sampling the road corridors using a GPS in 'normal' traffic conditions. Surveys were undertaken in 2006, 2011 & 2013.
