The Vegetation dataset forms part of the Launceston City Council Detail Survey Database (LCC DSDB). The purpose of this dataset is to give a general indication of vegetation dripline locations within the urban areas of the Launceston municipality. The data has been compiled over a number of years using mainly hand digitising (1:500 hardcopy plans), aerial photogrammety (1:5000 aerial photographs) and field survey work. Other datasets included in the LCC DSDB are Building footprints, drainage lines, fence lines, sewer lines, sewer points, stormwater lines, stormwater points, water lines and water points.
