This dataset contains the results from the survey of dietary analysis of fore-gut contents of the post-puerulus western rock lobster Panulirus cygnus George, at 7 mile beach (Geraldton region), Western Australia. Post-pueruli were collected from reefs and from artificial collectors between December 1986 and March 1987. Results showed that post-pueruli foraged at night amongst Amphiblois and macroalgae on the reefs and that the major dietary components included coralline algae, molluscs and crustaceans.
