Land systems - western arid region land use...

This dataset is a Land Systems map of the Western Arid Region Land Use Area- Part 5 of 6 in the Desert Channels. The mapping covers the Longreach, Maneroo, Muttaburra, Tangorin and Winton 1: 250,000 map sheets and was last updated in 2008. The mapping is at a scale of 1: 500,000 and 38 Land Systems were identified. The area is part of the Great Artesian Basin comprising portions of the Eromanga Basin. The survey was carried out to provide an inventory of the land resources of the area: soils, vegetation, land systems and current land use.
