This dataset is a Soil Profile Class and land suitability survey of the Elliot River-Bowen area in the Burdekin, North Queensland. The mapping covers parts of the Abbot Point, Bogie, Bowen and Cape Upstart 1: 100,000 map sheets (8558, 8457, 8557, 8458) and was completed in 1998. The mapping is at a scale of 1: 100,000 and 56 Soil Profile Classes were identified.
