Clean Energy Regulator

The Clean Energy Regulator is the Government body responsible for accelerating carbon abatement for Australia.

The Clean Energy Regulator was established on 2 April 2012 as an independent statutory authority by the Clean Energy Regulator Act 2011 and operates as part of the Environment portfolio.

The Clean Energy Regulator has administrative responsibilities in relation to National Greenhouse and Energy Reporting, administration of the Renewable Energy Target and the Emissions Reduction Fund.

The Clean Energy Regulator makes a range of publications, datasets and articles available to the public which can be accessed via the agency’s website.
